• VISITING THE FARM •

Thank you for your interest in visiting the farm!  There is a lot to see and do. We are usually available Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and most Saturdays during the summer.

Please e-mail Tom at info@woolleyfarms.com to make sure someone will be here to show you around.

What to Wear:

Make sure you check the weather report before coming out, and dress appropriately. Most often, you will need a hat and jacket at the farm due to wind coming down the valley. On hot summer days, a good hat is essential for sun protection. Sturdy shoes or boots that you don’t mind getting dirty will help you be more mobile on the farm, even on wet days. We highly recommend Muck Boots, available online, for frequent visitors.

Bringing the Kids:

Children are welcome on the farm. Little ones, however, are especially vulnerable to sunstroke and dehydration. Be sure children drink lots of fluids and use sunscreen and repellents. Farm staff may ask you or your children not to participate in activities for health and safety reasons.

Facilities:

There are no air-conditioned rooms on the farm, but the farmhouse is generally cool even in the middle of summer. We have some covered spaces where groups can meet or eat lunch and we have hydrants where you can wash hands and refill water bottles. There is a bathroom available inside, but it does not yet have easy handicapped access.

General Farm Rules

1. Please do not feed any animals or birds on the farm, except as directed.
2. Please do not bring your dog to the farm unless prior arrangements are made.
3. Chasing the animals. We want the farm to be as comfortable and safe for the animals as it is for humans. They trust us to protect them from danger, so please refrain from chasing, harassing or teasing the chickens, other poultry, wildlife, or domesticated animals.
4. We recycle as much as possible, and there are appropriate containers for paper, plastic, cans and bottles and other waste items. We also compost food waste and items made from natural materials, so please check before you put anything in the trash barrels.
